George Muller documentary is worth watching

George Muller (1804-1898) is today one of the most famous Christian missionaries in Church history, but the character he displayed in his youth gave no indication that he would be used by God in such miraculous ways as he was.

By his own account, Muller was a habitual thief, cheat and liar from the age of 10, and it was only while he was attending seminary in his native Germany that he began to hear the call of God on his life. Not long after he was saved, Muller was convinced God was calling him into missionary work, and soon he headed to London, England to minister to Jewish people on the city’s east side. Health and other ministry issues influenced Muller to leave London and eventually settle in Bristol along England’s southern coast. Continue reading

This 2019 Corolla Hatchback SE is cooler than you think

2019 Toyota Corolla SE Hatchback

You don’t need me to tell you that any Toyota Corolla is a good vehicle to consider if you’re in the market for a compact car, especially if you’re shopping the used lots. Up to now, the Corollas have been practical, reliable and predictable. And then came the 2019 Hatchback, and there went predictability.

It took me a few days to get used to driving the all-new 2019 Corolla Hatchback, partly because the copy Toyota delivered was a manual six-speed, and partly because it rode so low to the ground. Even more, it was difficult to get used to the new stylings Toyota baked up for this new model, but well done, I say. Well done. Continue reading
